Shipping Policy

We offer the following delivery options for orders within Canada only. ( Please scroll below this page if your order is outside of these areas. We've got you covered!)

Next Day - $15.99

Arrives the next day 

  • Next Day delivery is only available for orders within Ottawa only.
  • Orders must be placed before 5pm to ensure next day delivery 

Canada

  • We offer a  flat-rate price of $15.99 for every single order over $50 in Ontario
  • Shipping rates on orders outside of Ontario are variable depending on the weight of the product(s) and the shipping address. Please note that our selected carriers within Canada deliver on Monday - Friday. They do not deliver on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Shipping costs are based on the method you choose at checkout and your location. Your shipping charges are usually discounted and will automatically calculate during the checkout process, prior to completing your order.
  • Standard Shipping may take between 3 – 7 business days depending on your location


Refund Policy

We offer full refunds on any unopened, unexpired items in good condition within 7 days of purchase. All we ask is you provide a receipt, confirmation number, or other proof of purchase date. Any discounts used, except for shipping discounts, will be subtracted from the refund.

Refunds can only be made to the credit card or account used for the purchase. Once we receive your item and return is approved, we will issue a refund to your original method of payment. You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.


Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

Return Policy

You can return non- perishable items within 7 business days. All we ask is that you return these items with their original packaging. If you are not sure you are keeping an item, please do not open or remove seal (if applicable).  

For perishable items like your frozen foods, item return is limited due to hygiene concerns. When your delivery arrives, we will go through your order with you. If there is anything you’re not happy with, you can hand it back and we will replace the item or issue you a refund. Perishable items cannot be returned after we leave because of hygiene concerns.

Rush delivery?

If you need your order by a certain date please make a note in the ‘note section' of the shopping cart. Choosing Express shipping, does not guarantee that your order will be considered as rush delivery. If it's not possible for your order to arrive by your desired date, we will notify you by e-mail (please double check your e-mail address).

  You will need to be available for delivery since we cannot leave your frozen foods on your doorstep for safety and hygiene concerns. If you are running late and will not be available for the delivery of your frozen items, please send us an email at shop@foodafricanashop.com as soon as possible to reschedule your delivery.
